Exercises can be a great way to be active and healthy during pregnancy, it's beneficial for both mother and the baby. Exercises for pregnant women are specially chosen so that they do not have any kind of jerks and sudden movements which may disturb the baby. These exercises not only give strength and energy to the expecting mother but they also help her to avoid pain in back and joints.

One of the most important benefits of doing these exercises is that any weight gain that may occur during pregnancy is taken care of. So what are the exercises that are safe for pregnant women and can be easily done without any major exertion?

There are a lot of good exercises which can be done in pregnancy. Stretching is an important part of these exercises which keep the muscles relaxed and flexible. These exercises change with every passing trimester. What can be done in the first trimester may not be good in third trimester and so on. So you have to be careful with that.

A lot of women are unable to adjust to the extra weight they put on, and complain of back pain. In fact a majority of women get a back pain especially towards the last trimester. That does not mean that you cannot exercise, you just have to be careful with that. Exercises meant for third trimester take all these factors into considerations. This is the reason why you should do only specific exercises and not try out anything and everything.

A good exercise program is always designed in a way to get maximum benefits from minimum efforts. Exercises have so many benefits that they should definitely be a part of daily routine of a pregnant woman
